IBPS CWE General Awareness : Previous Year Papers Analysis : Crack IBPS Series

IBPS CWE General Awareness Previous Year Papers Analysis: In our IBPS clerk preparatory series we are now making analysis of the previous years IBPS Clerk General Exam Paper Analysis so that our visitors can understand the pattern of General Awareness paper and can prepare in a better way.

Difference between last year and this year: In year 2011 there were 50 questions in the General Awareness paper, from the last year the questions have been reduced to 40 questions. This year in 2013 exam is again going to be conducted through online mode.
Pattern of questions: We have made an analysis of all the general awareness papers of the IBPS CWE of the 2011 and out of the 50 questions the topic wise breakup was as under:
  • Banking Awareness: 18 questions
  • International Affairs: 7 questions
  • Economy/Finance: 1 question
  • Traditional GK: 7 questions
  • Sports: 4 questions
  • PM/Presidents of a country: 2 questions
  • Books and authors: 1 question
  • Awards: 3 questions
Hence you can see that the question paper is a mix of different topics from current affairs, banking awareness and GK.
Apart from the Traditional GK all other questions were related to current affairs and in Banking Awareness the questions were a mix of current banking awareness and also of traditional banking awareness. Level of questions: Level of questions in the General Awareness paper of IBPS CWE for Clerks is generally remains easy, questions are quite basic in nature and a well prepared student can easily score 80-90% of the questions.
