United India Insurance Company Assistant Examination 2015 - Detailed Exam Pattern, Syllabus, How to Prepare

UIIC ASSISTANT EXAMINATION PATTERN 2015-2016

In this post we are going to tell you about the detailed Exam pattern, syllabus, how to prepare for UIIC Assistant Examination. United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) is a leading public sector General Insurance company wholly owned by government is going to conduct the Assistant exam which is really a good opportunity for the Government job-seekers, as joining the Company will be beneficial in all aspects. So, Candidates have to prepare seriously to grab this opportunity in Govt. Sector. The total emoluments in Metro cities will be approx.Rs. 17,000 at its initial stage and also there were benefits of medical, travelling and all such expenses according to the rules of company.

The online exam having 250 marks for Objective test and 15 marks for Interview. However, the total marks obtained in Objective test will be reduced to 35 marks and interview of 15 marks which will be together becomes 50 marks and a Computer Proficiency Test and then, final result will be declared.

EXAM PATTERN:

Reasoning – 40 questions / 50 Marks
English Language - 40 questions / 50 Marks
Numerical ability - 40 questions / 50 Marks
General Knowledge - 40 questions / 50 Marks
Computer Knowledge - 40 questions / 50 Marks

Total 200 questions having 250 marks will be attempted by the candidates in 120 minutes. Candidates who qualify the Objective test have to appear in the interview and after that Candidates have to qualify the Computer Proficiency test which will be only qualifying and doesn’t have any separate marks for that and after that final result will be declared.

SYLLABUS FOR OBJECTIVE TEST:

REASONING: Arithmetical number series, Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Sitting Arrangement, Ranking test, Word Formation, Blood Relation, Syllogism, Calendar and Time, Visualization, Judgement, Decision Making, Statement and Assumption, Problem solving analysis, Discrimination etc.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Common errors, Preposition, Comprehension, Synonyms and Antonyms, Cloze Test, Idioms and Phrases, Sequence of Sentences, One word Substitution, Tenses etc.
NUMERICAL ABILITY : Simplification, LCM and HCF, Fraction, Age problems, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Work , Time and Speed, Probability, Data Interpretation, Percentage, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and loss, Permutations and Combinations etc.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: National and international Current Affairs, History of India and neighboring countries, Geography, Indian polity , Indian economy, General Science, Important Days, Sports Knowledge, Awards and honors etc.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of computer, MS Office ( MS word, MS Power Point, MS excel etc. ), Internet, Shortcut keys, Windows, Networking, Email, Fundamentals of Computer.

Aspirants need to devote equal time for each of the above sections as each section has played an important role in the final score because, merely qualifying the test is not sufficient. Candidate have to qualify all the sections individually as well as total marks obtained together in all the sections should be more than the cut-off to clear the written exam and then only they are called for Interview and Computer Proficiency Test. The merit list will be drawn state wise and category wise hence, there may be difference occurs in different states and categories.

INTERVIEW:

The candidates shortlisted on the basis of Online exam will be called for interview in which their academic knowledge,hobbies,General awareness and all the areas of interest will be assessed and A Computer Proficiency Test will be taken and based upon that the final merit list will be prepared.
